After a weekend with my boyfriend, I feel like I could conquer the world. It’s such a wonderful feeling, my dears. What makes you feel like you could conquer the world?

I’m posting this to remind myself (and you, if you need it), that come Monday morning, I want to hold onto that feeling.

{P.S.> I drew the winner of the Thankful cards tonight, and I’ll post the winner tomorrow. And also, I’ve got some really fun outfits to share this week.}

Overflowing Happiness

This past week and weekend has been absolutely overwhelmingly beautiful with overflowing happiness. I give it ALL back in praise to God, the source of it all. My boyfriend and I went on a quick trip to Iowa for a special project {to be announced later} and to visit my family. I am still just giddy with the goodness of it all. The fun-ness! See, don’t I look happy:

Yeah, maybe just a little bit happy.

{eyes are open, promise}

More of the good things:

And we stumbled upon a great little Christian bookstore, too, called Branches. I picked up what is destined to be a new favorite:

This beauty. {image from dayspring}

The verse is
“You have filled my heart with greater joy.”
Psalm 4:7

I think it was a suitable souvenir, wouldn’t you say? I’m sure you’ll see it in future blog posts.
Remember, God is the only one that can bring us back to life. This song has been on repeat tonight—such a good reminder that our God does and will fill our hearts with greater joy. Amen.

Puppy & Flowers

Today I need puppies and flowers.

My back is killing me, I’m tired & feeling sort of sick, and I have a TON to do (some that requires heavy lifting) today.

So, yes, puppies and flowers. You need a smile too, right?

 {This adorable corgi puppy came to visit me at work this week!}

{perfectly pink gerbera daisy from boyfriend in opalescent light pink vase}
An added bonus! Since I missed “Monday Mid Day” today, let’s count this as that, shall we? And I’ll include a song so it’s more legit:
I’ve been waking up with, “Savior, You have known me as I am….” in my head. Love it!
Have a fabulous Friday, my dears. I’m going to try my best to stay out of my bed—tea, apple-cinnamon waffles with peanut butter, and my heating pad for my back will hopefully fix me right up!

Happiness Project

Reading The Happiness Project, and happened to check out the Happiness Issue of Whole Living magazine at the same time at the library. Didn’t even know it! I went for a post-rain walk, gave myself a foot soak, and read a bit while sipping some chamomile tea. Then Skype-d with the boy, who told me that if he were here he’d be giving me hugs and kisses because I had on that cute little smile. I’d call that a pretty good night!

Easter Happiness

Look! See:

That’s my Easter basket from my sweet boyfriend: Reese’s and Lara Bars. Boy knows me well.

 {totally fit for a six-year-old right? and silly girls in their twenties!!)

And my bestest friend pointed out that I wore the exact same blouse last Easter in a similar outfit:

 {we’re going to dub this the Easter blouse and see how many years in a row I can wear it, haha}

Easter really does make me SUPER happy 😀 Jesus, pretty outfits, my favorite colors, chocolate, and a froufy Easter basket: I’m so there. {Psssst….can you imagine my boyfriend buying this Easter basket where he WORKS? Awwww. He must really like me :-P)
