February Snacks
Call me weird, but I love talking snack foods, especially gluten-free snacks. Good, healthy, easy, quick snacks are hard to come by, so I periodically share some of my favorites.

Clockwise starting with top left:
 Goody Good Stuff Koala Gummy Bears: You guys, these are amazingly delicious & I like the texture much better than regular gummy bears.
Organic Apple Cider Vinegar Drink – Ginger Spice : This one is a bit of an acquired taste, but I think you’ll come to love it. And it is just so incredibly healthy for you.
Sahale Snacks Tuscan Almonds with Parmesan + Herb: Most of the Sahale line of flavored nuts are amazing, but these are my most recent delicious find.
Trader Joe’s Sipping Chocolate: This was a birthday gift from a friend, and it’s incredible.
Brown Cow Cream Top Greek Yogurt, Maple Flavor: I cannot get enough of this. I think it might be the best yogurt I’ve ever had and I eat a lot of different yogurts; it’s one of my favorite foods to try new flavors and brands. This one is standout.

I have also been making these 1 Minute Coffee Cakes preeeeettty much daily since I discovered it! YUM!

Friday Morning

Good Friday morning, beautiful people! 
I’ve gots me some coffee with almond-coconut milk, what about you?

And I am SO glad it is Easter weekend. It is my favorite holiday, and I am also very anxious for the Good Friday service tonight. Good Friday just sets my heart right. It is So powerful. I’m sure I’ll write a post on Good Friday later.

But for now…

{delicious thrifting snack}
This is my absolute most-favorite lip balm right now. I canNOT get enough! It is thick and rich like buttercream frosting, and smells and tastes like the “Vanilla Chai” it is. The thick tube reminds me of the Lip Smacker BIG chap stick we all had in school. Plus, it’s Vegan and 70% organic.

“And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and how long and how high and how deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge–that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.”

Snack Time

I’ve discovered the quintessential snack: a cinnamon roll and tea/coffee. The best part about this? It works for ANY time of day: breakfast, second breakfast, elevenses, luncheon, afternoon tea, dinner, supper, bedtime snack, midnight snack….yep. Any time of day.

Oh, oh, oh, and a song, too, since I’m majorly on this 50s/60s kick:

“One fine day, you’re gonna want me for your girl…”

I’ve been struck by this verse lately:
 “God sets the lonely in families.” ~Psalm 68:6

Isn’t that such a beautiful thought? Incredibly beautiful. I, for one, know that in my own life, God has brought this to pass. I have been in valleys of darkness, feeling very lonely and far away from family. And He has been faithful, and shown me the love of the family of God in an incredibly powerful way. It is such a deep blessing to experience the fellowship of family. God cares so deeply and desperately for us. He is crazy-in-love with us. He wants us, and He takes care of our every need. Indeed…He sets the lonely in families. I’m not sure it gets much better or more beautiful than that.

An orange in a wax paper bag taped with my favorite washi tape, and a sunny Apricot granola bar that tastes *exactly* like that pre-packaged super-sweet oatmeal I ate as a kid. *note that these are NOT certified gluten-free, but neither myself nor my friend have issues with them. I just wanted to make people aware!

It’s snack time at work!
 I thought I’d share a quick “spiritual snack”, too; a miniature devotion:
“I am the Lord’s servant,” Mary answered. “May it be to me as you have said.”
Luke 1:38

I am the Lord’s servant. But if I can’t hear what he is saying—nay, if I don’t LISTEN to what He is saying–how can I say, “May it be as you have said, for I am your servant”? It is so easy for us sometimes to put our hands over our ears and say, “La-la-la-la-la, I can’t hear you!”

I cup my ear to the door, I fervently search the Word, I petition and lay in anxious wait for answers. 

May my ears be listening–may my heart be hearing. May it be to me as You have said, and as You are saying. 
Yes, Lord, I am your servant.
