He is Fighting For Us

I just needed to share this song with you this morning. Because I’m having a tough morning. You know? I miss my family, I miss my old life, I am second-guessing everything, and honestly trying not to cry so I don’t ruin my makeup before work. Oh right—work. Gotta go do that thing all day.
“Mighty is the One, who is strong to save, He will make a way….
Our God is fighting for us always, our God is fighting for us all…Our God is fighting for us always, we are not alone, we are not alone.
So I guess I just wanted to tell you, that if you’re having a morning, or week, or month like my morning, that you are not alone. You are not the only one there. God surrounds us with His light, and He is fighting for us.
ALWAYS.
Even when we don’t see it, feel it, or really even want to believe it.
Rest in that truth today, my dear friends.

Sixties Sunday

I love Sundays for so many reasons. I mean, hello, I get to celebrate Jesus, have a day off, worship with my friends, go out for brunch…and obviously, pull out my favorite vintage dresses.

I had half a mind to chop this late-1960s dress right above my knee (thinking it looked a bit, “I grabbed the shower curtain and made it into a dress” when left long). The next day, I walked by Lilly Pulitzer and saw this dress in the window. Sold! (well not the Lilly dress! but the idea of keeping it long).

I wore this fun dress to church and to brunch with some friends. We sat outside under a big straw umbrella and chit-chatted about life while eating banana pancakes and drinking orange juice out of wine glasses. Just the way a Sunday should be.

Into the week, my friends!
PS> Have you entered my Minted.com giveaway yet? There is still time!

Audrey Style

Oh this dress is just a happy cream-puff of a vintage-style shift! I ADORE it wholeheartedly.

Topped with “frosting” hair, as I call it…and big old sunglasses, of course! I just didn’t have them on for the pictures (oops).

Oooo, so much fun. I’m also reading this book:

Until later, my darlings!

Minted Love

Goodness, gracious I’m a paper girl. From the time I was little and created dozens of Victorian calling-cards, I’ve loved the feel and look of high-quality paper. Now, I’ve found a wide variety of gorgeous Minted business cards (which have somewhat sadly replaced my handmade calling cards). I swoon over them! You’ve seen Minted.com before, right? Amazing paper goods for the grown-up paper lover, like me.

Here are a few of my favorites:
Also, let’s just take a minute to drool over a few pretty inspiration boards:

We all know I LOVE (like, love-love) mint green, and how pretty is this stunning wedding inspiration board featuring mint and green?

And now that I live in Florida again, I’m craving these bright colors and retro vibes. They are just SO FUN! Bonus? They also coordinated with my beloved mint green!
The best part?
This is a GIVEAWAY post 🙂

Houndstooth & Hearts

There is something so classically striking about houndstooth, jeans, and patent heels, don’t you think? I adore it. Add a french twist, and some heart-polka-dots on my peplum top, and I’m one happy girl.

So, story:
I ran into a friend at Goodwill.
You guys, that means I have friends here! I have people I know and run into in random places at random times! I’m official!
Also, I got a Pottery Barn charging station for $3.99. So that was great.
But you know how she said she recognized me? My hairstyle.
Ha.
I guess I sure do a lot of 60-inspired hair twists 🙂
Random sunnies; Lisa Leonard – ((together)) Necklace; Forever21 sweater; Kohls tank; Old Navy jeans; thrifted DvF heels (what a score!)

Have a beautiful day, my friends!

Praise and Coffee

Ladies, I am so excited to share something totally new to me (but probably old-hat to you and I’m just showing you how out of the loop I am. Oops. I mean, “This has been out there forever, haven’t you seen it before? Sheesh.”). This magazine is chock-full of inspiration and is really a joy to read. So grab a cup of coffee and settle in this morning to read the latest issue.
Enjoy!

Happy Easter

I LOVE EASTER! I love Jesus, I love spring, I love pink and green, and so, obviously, I love Easter. It’s my favorite-favorite I think.
(did I say that about Valentine’s Day, too? Hmm…)

It’s Easter, so of course I had to throw a vintage edit in here:
Shows the colors better than the mid-day sunshine pictures!
