Weekly Progress Check-in!
1.) Went to thrift store. Left empty-handed! Woo-hoo!
2.) Used the last of my slightly-stale Rice Krispies and overly-ripe bananas for breakfast, instead of getting something on my way to work (though I desperately wanted to!!)
3.) Used up one shampoo bottle!

I read online about rubbing coconut oil in your hair because it doesn't just coat the strands like most serums; it actually soaks in to add moisture. So I bought a $6 bottle of cocunut oil at Wal-Mart (that's 31 oz, probably a lifetime supply, lol). I keep a small amount in a plastic container in the bathroom (it's a solid at room temp and melts in your hands). It works great – my frizz-prone hair is soft and shiny. I'm probably saving hundreds of dollars on those tiny bottles of serum I've been going through monthly, plus reducing so much packaging waste and saving myself from weird chemical ingredients and scents I don't need. Very happy about the switch!
Instead of making plans for new dinner this week, I rummaged through the freezer and set up our meal plan around the leftovers.
